Proposed Constitution & Regulation Updates
Review the President’s letter, member explainer and draft documents relating to the proposed updates for Bronte Surf Life Saving Club.
Letter from the President
Monday 13 July 2026
Dear Member
In recognition of the ever increasing obligations and demands on us as a Club, the Board of Management recently completed a review of the current corporate governance framework by which the Club operates. We identified a number of areas in which the governing rules, systems and processes of the Club could be improved to assist in a transparent and efficient management of the Club now and into the future.
The Board of Management appointed a constitutional review committee, chaired by Board Member Matt Kuppe, to review and prepare a revised Constitution for the Club together with updated Regulations, both of which are intended to bring the Club in line with the approach recommended by SLSNSW.
On this page is a member explainer prepared by Matt Kuppe. The document summarises the new Constitution and Regulations alongside the attached draft Constitution and Regulations that will be tabled at this year’s Annual General Meeting.
Links to the current Constitution and Regulations are at the bottom of this page.
An incredible amount of time has been spent to review our current Constitution and Regulations, and this new proposed Constitution is an important document which will guide the Club over the next forthcoming period. We invite your input by Friday 24th July, you can email Matt Kuppe (CTO) or myself with any questions or queries using the member feedback button on this page. A final version of the Constitution and Regulations will be distributed to the members on 31st July 2026.
